Chapter 4211

“Stanton, do you really think I can’t recognize you even with your pathetic attempt to hide? Is Sky Slasher Sect only capable of sneaky ambushes now? Didn’t you promise me three days?” Sue shouted angrily.

Originally, they had agreed to give him three days to leave Medicine God Island, but now, not even three days had passed, and the Sky Slasher Sect had launched a sneak attack!

Fortunately, Sue had anticipated this and set up sentries hundreds of miles out, detecting the Sky Slasher Sect’s movements in advance.

Otherwise, if they had been ambushed while trapped on Medicine God Island, they would have been in deep trouble.

What was infuriating was that these attackers had covered their faces as if others wouldn’t know who they were.

“The plan has changed. There’s nothing I can do about it. Either way, you’re all going to die sooner or later, so it doesn’t matter when.”

Stanton sneered coldly, then ordered loudly, “Attack with full force! Leave no one alive. Once we kill them all, Medicine God Island will be ours. There are still quite a few alchemists on the island. Once we kill them, we’ll be able to loot plenty of treasures from their bodies.”

Boom, boom, boom…

Countless magecraft rained down on the people of Medicine God Island.

Sue’s face darkened as he continuously summoned golden beetles to break the spells, but the number of golden beetles was limited.

Screams echoed as Medicine God Island’s disciples fell into the sea one by one.

Sue grew increasingly anxious. He had no idea if Candle had managed to deliver the message or if the alchemists had escaped Medicine God Island yet.

“Disciples of Medicine God Island, listen to me! None of you can retreat! Even if we die today, we will be remembered in the world of alchemists! I believe the alchemists won’t forget us! Fight to the end!” Sue roared.

“Sue, you’re pathetic. You care so much for those alchemists, but they want you dead. Let me tell you the truth-I’ve already made deals with several alchemist guilds. We’re working together to seize Medicine God Island. The reason I’m attacking early is because of the information I received. Right now, most of the alchemists on the island are probably already dead or gravely wounded,” Stanton said mockingly.

Sue froze for a moment, then furrowed his brow. “Who? Who from the alchemists’ side is working with Sky Slasher Sect?”

Sue couldn’t believe that any of the alchemists would cooperate with Sky Slasher Sect.

“I can’t tell you that. Maybe after you’re dead, I’ll let you know,” Stanton replied.

“Mark Cantor from the Azurean Alchemist Guild. He’s colluding with a few alchemists and Sky Slasher Sect. But rest assured, Mr. Laurent, I’ve already informed the others. Mark won’t succeed.” A voice suddenly boomed out, loud as a bell.

Everyone saw a red flame tear through the sky, piercing through the void and appearing in an instant!

The moment it appeared, an overwhelming surge of supreme fire spread across the sky, rushing toward the disciples of Sky Slasher Sect.

Stanton was horrified and shouted urgently, “Move aside!”

Sky Slasher Sect disciples paled as they hurriedly tried to evade. But some of them were in the middle of casting magecraft and couldn’t move at all!

Boom!

The demonic fire exploded, and dozens of Sky Slasher Sect disciples were instantly reduced to ashes.

The formation that had been trapping Sue and his men also shattered amidst the blazing demonic fire.

“Mr. White!”

Seeing John’s arrival and his impressive display of power, Sue was overwhelmed with emotion.

“Mr. Laurent, are you all right?” John asked as he approached Sue.

Sue’s eyes were brimming with tears. He glanced around at his disciples, his voice heavy with sorrow. “Only these few disciples from Medicine God Island remain. We’ve lost two- thirds of them…”

Chapter 4212

John glanced at the disciples of Medicine God Island, each one wounded, while countless bodies floated on the surface of the sea.

Despite this, not a single alchemist from the island had fled or backed down.

“Mr. Laurent, don’t worry. I will avenge your fallen. Today, I will annihilate every last one of these Sky Slasher Sect bastards. None will be left alive,” John declared as the Dragon Slayer Sword slowly materialized in his hand, a terrifying killing intent surging from his body.

The remaining disciples of Medicine God Island were emboldened by John’s presence. Their eyes turned red as they shouted, “Kill, kill, kill! Avenge our fallen buddies!”

Stanton frowned as he eyed John. “Who the hell are you? This is our business with Medicine God Island. If you don’t want to die, then get lost!”

Stanton was curious about John after witnessing him incinerate dozens of Sky Slasher Sect disciples with the demonic fire and effortlessly destroy the formation trapping Sue and the others.

“My name is John White. Medicine God Island’s business is my business,” John replied.

“John?” Stanton was taken aback, his eyes gleaming with realization. “Are you the John who has been hunted by the Demon Seal Alliance using the hundred-year offering? Haha! What luck! Not only will I take Medicine God Island, but I’ll also kill you and exchange your head with the Demon Seal Alliance for the hundred-year offering!”

“You think you can kill me?” John stood fearless before the Sky Slasher Sect.

“Kid, you’re too arrogant. There are hundreds of us, and you’re just a small cultivator in the sixth tier of the Tribulation Stage. We’ll trap you all in a formation,” Stanton sneered, raising his hands toward the sky.

Instantly, dark clouds gathered overhead, and the ocean waves began to surge violently.

At that moment, Candle arrived in haste.

“Father!” Candle called out, rushing toward Sue.

“Candle, stay back! Don’t come any closer!” Sue shouted, his voice filled with concern.

He couldn’t allow Candle to get trapped in the formation with them.

However, Candle ignored his father’s warning and flew directly into the cloud-covered sky.

Seeing this, Sue could only sigh in helplessness.

“Well, well, Sue. Looks like you and your son will be reunited in death,” Stanton mocked.

“Beasts of the Sky Slasher Sect, don’t you dare gloat!” Garret roared.

At that moment, a dozen spirit ships rapidly approached from the distance, each filled with alchemists from various regions of the Celestial Realm.

Braving the stormy winds and crashing waves, they drew nearer and nearer.

Seeing the approaching alchemists, Sue scolded Candle, “What is this? Didn’t I tell you to get everyone off Medicine God Island? Why have they all come here?”

“I-I don’t know. I told them to leave, but they all came anyway,” Candle stammered.

“Mr. Laurent, since they’re here, we have more hands to help,” John said.

“Mr. White, you don’t understand. The Sky Slasher Sect’s magic is incredibly powerful. We are mere alchemists, and we can’t possibly fight against these array masters. I have been risking my life holding them back just to give everyone a chance to escape Medicine God Island. But now, it’s all in vain. Is this fate? Is this really our fate?” Sue muttered, despair written across his face.

Seeing the mass of alchemists gathered, Stanton became even more excited. “Hahaha! This is perfect. You’ve all come, saving me the trouble of hunting you down one by one. Today, I will use this formation to kill every last one of you. After this, there will be no more alchemists left in the Celestial Realm!”

Stanton laughed maniacally as the dark clouds loomed lower and lower.

All the disciples of the Sky Slasher Sect began to chant in low voices, their lips moving in unison as they recited incantations.

From the bodies of the Sky Slasher Sect disciples, black mist began to rise, slowly gathering into the ominous black clouds above.

Chapter 4213

The black clouds slowly transformed into a giant net and descended upon John and the others.

“Retreat, retreat quickly!” Sue shouted at Garret and the rest of his group as he saw the danger unfolding.

It was obvious that the Sky Slasher Sect had already set up a grand formation to trap everyone. If Garret and the others entered it now, it would be a grave mistake.

However, Garret and his group didn’t heed the warning. They sailed their spirit ships directly under the net woven by the black clouds.

“President Cantor, these fools are walking right into the trap. Now we can sit back and reap the benefits!” Ernesto said gleefully, watching Garret and the others rush headlong into the trap.

Mark was also a bit surprised. He hadn’t expected that Garret and his group would be so fearless, charging in without regard for their lives.

“If everything goes according to plan, we probably won’t even need to lift a finger,” Mark remarked, standing at the bow of his ship with a cold smile.

He had brought his alchemists along merely to observe the situation and had no intention of getting involved.

Vienna hurried to John’s side, asking with concern, “John, are you okay?”

“I’m fine. It’s just the Sky Slasher Sect. They are nothing to me,” John replied with a slight smile.

Hearing John’s words, Sue couldn’t help but sigh.

He thought John was boasting. After all, a Sixth Level Tribulator claiming he didn’t fear the Sky Slasher Sect had to be a joke.

“President White, why did you rush in here? Now we’re all trapped in this formation, and I fear none of us will be able to escape,” Sue said to Garret, expressing his frustration.

“Mr. Laurent, you’ve been holding off the Sky Slasher Sect all by yourself for our sake. We couldn’t just stand by and watch. If we work together, we may not be powerless against the Sky Slasher Sect,” Garret responded.

“Yes, if we stand united, we don’t need to fear the Sky Slasher Sect!” Dylan added.

“But the Sky Slasher Sect has been colluding with an alchemist guild. I just don’t know which one,” Sue said, still unsure who was behind this alliance.

“They’ve been working with the Northern Alchemist Guild. Didn’t you notice that Mark and his group didn’t follow us in?”

Garret pointed toward Mark and the others, who were staying far back from the black net.

Now, all the alchemists turned their gazes toward Mark and his group, finally realizing that he had indeed allied with the Sky Slasher Sect.

“Mark?” Sue furrowed his brows. “So, that scoundrel had already conspired with the Sky Slasher Sect to take over Medicine God Island. No wonder when I proposed holding the Alchemist Fair on Medicine God Island, he agreed so readily. This was all part of a long- term plan. That guy is pure evil,” Sue cursed.

“Mark is a snake! He told us the strength of Medicine God Island forced his hand, and that he had no choice but to hold the Alchemist Fair there,” Werner said through gritted teeth.

Many alchemists began cursing Mark at that moment, though he couldn’t hear any of it.

The massive black net had now completely engulfed everyone.

What had been a clear sky turned dark. It was now pitch black.

A strange sense of fear began to creep into everyone’s hearts under this black net, along with an oppressive pressure so intense it made them feel as though they couldn’t breathe.

“Everyone, let’s work together and break this formation!” Garret commanded, rallying the group to combine their strength to shatter the formation.

With so many of them, their collective power could be immense.

“Okay, let’s try!”

Sue nodded in agreement.

Chapter 4214

“Don’t do it. Even if we combine our efforts, this formation cannot be broken, and we would suffer backlash,” John quickly warned, stopping everyone in their tracks.

“Is it really that powerful? What are we supposed to do then?” Sue’s face was full of worry upon hearing John’s words.

“How could it be possible that we can’t break it with all of us working together? I refuse to believe it. We, the Zaire family, will break it open,” declared Fourier, clearly skeptical of John’s warning.

As they say, “the young are fearless.” He had never encountered a formation of this magnitude and believed they could destroy it by combining forces.

Even if they could create a breach, everyone would be able to escape.

“Zaire family disciples, heed my command! Join me in breaking this formation!” Fourth Fourier ordered, gripping his long sword tightly as his aura surged.

The Zaire family disciples gathered behind him, ready to deliver a decisive blow to the formation.

Sawyer, standing nearby, did nothing to stop his son. Perhaps he was curious to see if the formation could actually be broken.

If the Zaire family could shatter it, their reputation among the alchemists would soar, and their status would rise significantly.

“Sawyer, aren’t you going to stop them?” Dylan asked.

“Young people need experience. Even if they fail, it’s still a learning opportunity,” Sawyer replied.

“You heard what Mr. White said, didn’t you? If the formation can’t be broken, there will be backlash. Aren’t you worried?” Dylan cautioned.

“Worried about what? What backlash could there be? It’s nothing but exaggerated warnings.” Sawyer dismissed John’s words, unconvinced.

Meanwhile, Fourier and the Zaire family disciples were fully prepared to attack.

“Mr. Zaire, I advise you not to attempt it. It’s truly dangerous.” John tried to dissuade him one last time.

“Thank you for your concern, Mr. White, but what are we supposed to do? Sit here and wait to die? Someone has to take the lead, and I’ll be the one. I want to see just how formidable the Sky Slasher Sect really is!” Fourier, full of youthful vigor, showed no fear.

John could only sigh softly and say nothing more.

“Be careful, Fourier!” Holly called out in concern.

“Don’t worry, Holly. I’ll break this formation, and when I do, all the alchemists will look up to me,” Fourier declared confidently.

With that, he leaped into the air, leading the Zaire family disciples toward the formation.

The immense black net formed by the dark clouds enveloped everyone, with streaks of light flickering within it.

Fourier and the Zaire family disciples charged forward, unleashing a fierce combined attack.

“Destroy…”

The combined strength of dozens of Zaire family disciples converged into a single point, radiating brilliant light like the sun.

The entire formation was illuminated by the blinding energy, and for a brief moment, everything was as bright as day.

Seeing this, many people expressed their admiration.

“The Zaire family’s strength is truly impressive. The power of that combined attack is astounding.”

“As expected of one of the four great families of Sparta. Their abilities are remarkable.”

“Fourier is young, but he has both courage and wisdom,” people praised, making Sawyer beam with pride.

“Get your pills ready to save them,” John said, shaking his head as he observed the scene.

Sawyer was taken aback and turned to John with displeasure. “Mr. White, what do you mean by that? You’ve seen the power of our family’s combined attack. Are you suggesting we won’t be able to break the formation? Even if the formation can’t be broken, surely our people won’t get injured.”

“Injured? No, they won’t just be injured. Half of your Zaire family disciples are likely to perish,” John said calmly.

“Mr. White, that’s going too far! How could you curse our Zaire family like that?”

Sawyer was furious, glaring at John with anger.

Chapter 4215

“This isn’t a curse. It’s the truth…”

John’s words were barely out when a sudden explosion erupted!

Boom!

With a deafening roar, the ball of light from the combined attack smashed into the formation!

The black net wobbled momentarily before settling down.

However, a surge of black mist instantly erupted from the formation!

The Zaire family’s dozens of members were immediately enveloped by the black mist.

“Ah!”

“Kill!”

In an instant, the air was filled with roars and cries for revenge.

Everyone stared in stunned silence, unable to see what was happening inside the black mist.

“Son, my son…”

Horrified, Sawyer instinctively tried to leap up, but Dylan grabbed him to prevent him from moving.

Soon, Zaire family disciples began falling out of the black mist.

Some fell with no sign of life, their bodies completely mangled.

Others were severely injured but still breathing.

They bore wounds as if they had been torn apart by something.

“Save them, save them!” Dylan shouted urgently.

The Weaver family was now closely allied with the Zaire family through marriage, so they could not ignore their plight.

Fourier also fell from the mist, his body almost entirely bruised, but his injuries were not fatal.

Prompt treatment could still save him.

Seeing his injured son and the dead disciples, Sawyer collapsed to the ground in despair.

At that moment, everyone’s faces were filled with terror and shock!

Their eyes then turned to John.

Since John could understand the formation, he must have a way to break it.

Seeing everyone’s gaze, John said, “To break this large formation from the inside would require a significant amount of time, and success is not guaranteed.”

Upon hearing this, everyone was demoralized.

If John couldn’t break it, none of them would be able to!

After all, they had no knowledge of formations.

“Mr. White, isn’t there any other way to break the Sky Slasher Sect’s formation? If we’re trapped like this, sooner or later we’ll be annihilated by the Sky Slasher Sect,” Garret asked.

“There is another method. If someone can break the formation from the outside, it will be much easier and might even disrupt the Sky Slasher Sect’s formation, creating a gap,” John explained.

“Are you joking? Who can break the formation from the outside? Are we supposed to rely on Mark and his group?” Dylan said helplessly.

They were all trapped inside. Who could help break the formation from outside?

Mark and his group were unlikely to help. They would probably be thrilled if all the alchemists died!

“Don’t worry, someone will definitely come to our aid!” John said with a slight smile.

Just as John finished speaking, thunder and lightning suddenly roared from outside.

“Sect leader, we’ve arrived. We’ll rescue you right away!” someone shouted.

It turned out that Carlos from the Duad Formation Sect had arrived. The disciples of the Duad Formation Sect began using various magecraft to bombard the Sky Slasher Sect’s disciples.

Carlos and his team were also attacking the Sky Slasher Sect’s formation from the outside!

In terms of magecraft, the Sky Slasher Sect was no match for the Duad Formation Sect.

After all, the ancestors of the Duad Formation Sect were from the celestial realm, and their formations were all high-level.

“Someone really has come to rescue us, and there are quite a few of them!”

Hearing the commotion outside, everyone was extremely excited and thrilled.

“Sect leader? Who here is a sect leader?”

“Could it be Mr. White?”

“Who are these people? Their magecraft seem to be on par with those of the Sky Slasher Sect.”

Everyone looked at John curiously

Chapter 4216

“These people are from the Duad Formation Sect in the central region. I had informed them in advance, so they came right away,” John said with a slight smile.

“The Duad Formation Sect from the central region?” Garret’s eyes widened in shock. “That’s a very powerful magecraft sect. The Sky Slasher Sect must be no match for them. Is the sect leader they mention you, Mr. White?”

“That’s correct,” John replied with a smile.

Everyone’s heads buzzed with disbelief. They couldn’t fathom how a Sixth Level Tribulator like John, and an alchemist at that, had become the sect leader of a magecraft sect.

Even Vienna and the others were curious, as John had never mentioned being the sect leader of the Duad Formation Sect.

“It’s no wonder you’re so confident and have such a thorough understanding of the formation. Being the master of the Duad Formation Sect certainly explains it. My apologies!” Sawyer said, immediately becoming respectful upon learning John’s identity.

He had previously doubted John, but now, knowing his status, he became very respectful.

Other alchemists also started to treat John with utmost respect. Even those who had harbored thoughts of getting the hundred-year offering the Demon Seal Alliance had completely abandoned those thoughts now!

With the backing of Asiana Land and being the sect leader of the Duad Formation Sect, how could anyone dare to act against John?

Everyone now understood why the Demon Seal Alliance was offering a hundred-year offering. With someone like John, if the benefits were too low, no one would act!

Meanwhile, Mark and the others, who were observing from afar, were dumbfounded by the sudden appearance of the Duad Formation Sect members.

Ernesto frowned and asked, “President Cantor, what’s going on? Why have so many people suddenly appeared? And they seem to be very skilled in magecraft. Are they here to rescue Medicine God Island?”

“These are members of the Duad Formation Sect. How did they suddenly end up here? I thought I heard them mention something about their sect leader. Could it be that their sect leader is also trapped here?” Mark wondered, confused about how the Duad Formation Sect from the central region had ended up in the western region.

“These people trapped inside are all alchemists. How could there be a Duad Formation Sect master among them? This is truly strange.”

“So, what should we do? Should we take action?” Ernesto asked.

“Take action? I think the Sky Slasher Sect is finished. We should observe the situation. If things look bad, we should retreat immediately!”

Mark was hesitant to act rashly, as he hadn’t anticipated the Duad Formation Sect’s involvement.

At this time, the Duad Formation Sect and the Sky Slasher Sect were engaged in fierce combat, with dazzling magecraft exploding in the air!

Both sides suffered casualties!

“Carlos, we have no bad blood with the Sky Slasher Sect, nor any past conflicts. Why did you travel so far to deal with us?” Stanton roared at Carlos.

Victory had seemed within reach, but the sudden arrival of the Duad Formation Sect had shifted the advantage to them.

“Stanton, although the Sky Slasher Sect has no bad blood with us, you were foolish enough to trap our sect leader in the formation. Don’t blame us for being rude!” Carlos snorted coldly.

“Your sect leader?” Stanton was bewildered. “Who is your sect leader? I’ve only trapped alchemists from the Alchemist Guild, not any sect leader.”

“John White is the sect leader of Duad Formation Sect. Now you know, right? Release him, and then kneel and apologize. If you beg for his forgiveness, you might have a slim White of survival!” Carlo declared.

Chapter 4217

Carlos was well aware of John’s abilities. To him, the Sky Slasher Sect’s magical techniques were mere trash.

“Him?” Stanton was taken aback but then snorted coldly, “You expect me to kneel and apologize? Keep dreaming! Don’t think your Duad Formation Sect is so untouchable. I have reinforcements.”

As he finished speaking, Stanton looked over at Mark. If Mark and his people could help him, he could defeat the Duad Formation Sect.

“President Cantor, are you just going to stand by and do nothing at a time like this?” Stanton loudly questioned Mark.

Mark’ expression turned awkward. He had agreed to collaborate with Stanton, but now that Stanton was in a battle with the Duad Formation Sect, they were indeed just watching from the sidelines.

At that moment, Carlos noticed Mark and his group. That made him frown.

He hadn’t expected the many alchemists aboard the spirit ship to be allied with the Sky Slasher Sect!

If they all joined the fight, it would spell trouble for the Duad Formation Sect.

Mark carefully assessed the situation before finally shouting, “Mr. Waller, how could we stand by and do nothing? I’m bringing my men right away…”

Boom!

Before Mark could finish his sentence, there was a massive explosion.

The Sky Slasher Sect’s formation had been broken open!

John, along with Garret and the others, burst out from the black net.

Seeing them escape, Mark froze in place.

“Mr. Laurent, President White, now is the time for revenge,” John said with a slight smile after breaking through the formation.

“Everyone, the time for revenge has come! Slaughter these beasts from the Sky Slasher Sect and avenge our fallen comrades!” Sue roared.

The disciples of Medicine God Island let out furious cries and charged at the Sky Slasher Sect.

Sawyer’s eyes turned blood-red as he charged forward, determined to avenge his fallen family members from the Zaire family.

“Everyone, let’s fight!” Garret bellowed, leading those from Central Alchemist Guild into the battle.

The Weaver family and other alchemists all charged toward the Sky Slasher Sect.

If not for the Duad Formation Sect’s presence, Stanton wouldn’t have considered the alchemists much of a threat.

However, with the Duad Formation Sect now involved, the Sky Slasher Sect’s magecraft were quickly countered, leaving them unable to fend off the alchemists’ attacks.

“Run…” Stanton shouted, fleeing first.

Seeing him flee, the Sky Slasher Sect’s disciples quickly followed suit.

“Think you can escape?” John snorted coldly, wielding the Dragonslayer Sword as he swiftly gave chase.

“Block him!” Stanton commanded two elders to stop John while he made his escape.

At this point, Stanton cared little for his disciples’ fate. The two Sky Slasher Sect elders were reluctant but had no choice. They stopped and prepared to face John.

“Slash!” John swung his sword, and the sharp sword light descended like a heavenly blade, striking one of the elders from the Sky Slasher Sect.

Both elders hastily cast magecraft to form a protective shield, but it was useless.

John’s sword light effortlessly pierced through the shield and cleaved one of the elders in two.

The Dragonslayer Sword is growing stronger. I wonder how Daisy is doing. It seems I’ll need to visit Divine Smithing Sect soon and fully restore the Dragonslayer Sword. Only then will Daisy be free, John thought to himself, looking at the sword in his hand.

Since the sword spirit Daisy was injured and couldn’t leave the Dragonslayer Sword, the weapon’s power had greatly diminished.

The biggest issue was that with Daisy trapped inside the sword, John had lost a valuable ally.

If Daisy could be restored, she would be John’s trump card, able to fight independently at crucial moments.

Chapter 4218

The remaining elder of the Sky Slasher Sect was so terrified that he wet his pants before turning to flee.

Stanton stumbled and nearly fell into the sea in his panic.

He quickly waved his hands, summoning a cloud of black mist before disappearing into it.

John turned his attention to the other Sky Slasher Sect elder.

Knowing he couldn’t escape, the elder crushed a charm, and a blood-red light instantly appeared before him, with runes flickering within it.

John sneered, waving his hand as the blood- red light vanished without a trace.

Using magecraft in front of John was like teaching a fish to swim!

“What?” The Sky Slasher Sect elder was dumbfounded.

Before he could react, a flash of light struck, and his head was severed.

After slaying the two elders, John moved on to attack the remaining Sky Slasher Sect disciples while also searching for Stanton.

He knew that Stanton couldn’t have used a Teleportation Array to escape as his magecraft wasn’t advanced enough to set one up so quickly.

Stanton must have used some kind of illusion to mask his whereabouts.

However, even with John’s spiritual sense, he couldn’t locate him.

The Sky Slasher Sect disciples scattered in terror, running aimlessly.

Meanwhile, the alchemists and the members of the Duad Formation Sect pursued them like hunting dogs chasing cornered prey.

“Stop! Stop! I surrender! We surrender! Spare us…” one of the Sky Slasher Sect disciples begged desperately.

Splat!

Before he could finish his plea, a Medicine God Island alchemist struck him down with a sword,

“Now you want to surrender? After all the comrades we’ve lost? There’s no way out for you now!”

The alchemists from Medicine God Island were in a bloodthirsty frenzy.

Out of the hundreds of Sky Slasher Sect disciples, only a few dozen were left, cornered and surrounded.

John unleashed the demonic fire, incinerating the remaining Sky Slasher Sect disciples in a sea of fire.

From a distance, Mark and his group were paralyzed with fear.

It wasn’t until this point that Mark snapped out of his stupor and yelled, “Quick, turn the ship around! We have to escape!”

Mark commanded his spirit ship to change direction.

The Sky Slasher Sect had been wiped out so quickly that he hadn’t even realized it until it was too late. Stanton had vanished as well.

However, just as the spirit ship turned around, a figure appeared on deck.

It was none other than Stanton, who had used the black mist to escape.

He didn’t run away, because he couldn’t. All he could do was temporarily use the Shadow Escape Technique to escape onto Mark’ spirit ship.

“Mr. Waller?” Mark exclaimed in shock upon seeing him.

“You bastard, Mark! We agreed to work together, yet you just stood there watching!” Stanton roared with fury, raising his hand to strike.

He felt utterly betrayed by Mark.

“Mr. Waller, please, calm down! We need to focus on dealing with those alchemists!”

Ernesto quickly intervened, blocking Stanton’s attack.

“Mr. Waller, this isn’t the time for an internal strife. We need to figure out how to turn this situation around,” Mark added.

He had no idea Stanton would end up on his spirit ship.

“Turn the situation around? How the hell do we turn it around when all my people are dead?” Stanton growled in frustration.

‘Mr. Waller, you must have noticed by now that all of them are rallying around John as their leader. If we can find a way to take John out, their entire group will fall apart,” Mark suggested.

He planned to eliminate John first.

Chapter 4219

“How do we defeat him? This guy seems to be only a Sixth Level Tribulator, but his strength is formidable, and he even knows magecraft. Despite his young age, he’s already the sect leader of the Duad Formation Sect-definitely not someone to underestimate!” Stanton said.

“Mr. Waller, don’t let this guy scare you. You’re the head of the Sky Slasher Sect, and your strength surpasses John’s by far. There’s no way you’d lose to him in a one-on-one fight!” Mark flattered Stanton.

“Exactly, exactly! Mr. Waller, your magecraft unparalleled. If it hadn’t been for the sudden interference from the Duad Formation Sect, these people would have long fallen to your formation! You won’t be afraid of him!” Ernesto joined in, showering Stanton with praise.

Flattered by their words, Stanton’s confidence swelled.

“Of course! I’m in Ultimate Realm Level Two and the sect leader of the Sky Slasher Sect. How could I possibly fear a mere Sixth Level Tribulator?”

Frowning, he added, “However, with their numbers, I’m afraid I wouldn’t stand a White if they all came at me at once.”

“Mr. Waller, just challenge John directly. If they dare to make a move, we’ll block them for you. Once John falls, their entire group will collapse!” Mark persuaded, eager for Stanton to fight John.

Mark hated John the most-if not for him, their plan would have gone off without a hitch.

“Okay, I’ll give it a shot. That guy killed so many of my disciples. Let me avenge them!”

Fooled by his words, Stanton leaped off the spirit ship.

His black cloak billowed in the wind, and he still wore a mask over his face.

“Stanton’s still here!” Sue shouted in surprise when he saw him.

Everyone was equally stunned. They couldn’t understand why Stanton was still here when the disciples of Sky Slasher Sect were all dead.

Stanton discarded his cloak and removed his mask, revealing a twisted face with cold light flickering in his eyes.

His Ultimate Realm’s aura, surged, causing several alchemists to feel as though they couldn’t breathe.

“I didn’t expect you to stay behind and wait for your death,” John remarked, surprised to see Stanton.

After witnessing his strength, John didn’t think Stanton would dare show his face again.

What John didn’t realize was that Stanton had been thoroughly tricked into confronting him.

Stanton declared, “Hmph, the one facing death is you. You’ve killed so many of my disciples, and I will avenge them! Do you dare to face me in single combat? Whether it’s with real weapons or magecraft, I’ll let you strike first!”

“John, don’t listen to him!” Vienna quickly interjected, blocking John. “This guy is shameless. An Ultimate Realm expert challenging a Tribulator in a one-on-one fight? How despicable!”

She didn’t want John to fight alone. They had strength in numbers. If they were to attack together, Stanton wouldn’t be able to escape!”

“Stanton, you’re truly shameless. How can you even suggest a one-on-one fight?” Sue scoffed.

“Hmph, I only wish to avoid further bloodshed. If you all attack, it will only lead to more slaughter, and the weaker alchemists will be the ones to suffer,” Stanton responded, trying to justify himself with a noble-sounding reason.

“Pah! You have no shame. I can’t believe you’re saying something like that!” Garret spat in disgust.

“Mr. White, don’t be fooled. He’s doing this on purpose,” Sigurd warned.

Smiling, John turned to Stanton and said, “Since you want a one-on-one duel with me, I’ll oblige. I’ll beat you to the point where you’ll have no choice but to admit defeat.”

Chapter 4209 Resist Sky Slasher Sect

“That’s possible…”

Dylan nodded in agreement. Now that the legacy had been obtained by someone, it was indeed possible that Cauldron Peak would collapse.

Garret glanced at Mark and the others who had already descended the mountain, then whispered, “Everyone, there’s something I need to discuss with you. Please follow me to a more secluded spot.”

Garret intended to expose Mark’ plan of allying with Sky Slasher Sect against all the alchemists.

Regardless of whether Dylan and the others believed him or not, he was going to spill the beans.

In response, the curious Dylan followed Garret toward a secluded area with the others.

At that moment, Mark was staring at the collapsed Cauldron Peak, his brows furrowed in frustration. “Damn it,” he muttered, “I didn’t manage to obtain the Medicine God’s legacy or find any treasures, and now it’s collapsed. Such rotten luck.”

“President Cantor,I don’t see anyone from the Dupont family. Could it be possible that none of them managed to escape?” Ernesto said.

Only then did Mark realize that not a single person from the Dupont family, including Vincent, had shown up.

His expression turned grim, his demeanor frosty as he said, “If there’s not a single person from the Dupont family to be found, it’s not that they didn’t manage to escape. Rather, they might have all been murdered before Cauldron Peak collapsed.”

“Murdered? Who could have possibly wiped out the entire Dupont family?”

Ernesto was slightly taken aback.

“Was someone scheming against us while we were plotting to kill them?”

After Mark finished speaking, he turned his gaze toward Garret and the others.

He was still unaware that Garret had already discovered their plan.

Candle hurriedly approached the group of alchemists and exclaimed loudly, “Everyone, Cauldron Peak has already collapsed. I urge you all to leave Medicine God Island as quickly as possible. I have prepared the spirit ship for you. The Sky Slasher Sect has suddenly launched an attack on the island, and my father has already gone to fend them off. I urge you all to leave as soon as possible, or it may be too late.”

“What? Sky Slasher Sect has attacked the island?”

Many were left confused, for they had absolutely no idea what was going on.

A faint smile played on Mark’ lips. “I didn’t expect the Sky Slasher Sect to keep their word. They really did launch their attack ahead of time.”

“President Cantor, should we also take action?” asked Ernesto.

“Let’s just wait and see for now. We’ll observe their reaction first. Now that Cauldron Peak has collapsed, Medicine God Island has lost its significance. What if we take action now and Sky Slasher Sect suddenly withdraws? By then, wouldn’t we become public enemy number one? We would become outcasts in Ethereal Realm,” Mark elaborated.

Now that Cauldron Peak had collapsed, Medicine God Island had lost its value. If Sky Slasher Sect were to learn of it, they surely wouldn’t have gone to such great lengths, especially for a worthless island.

If Sky Slasher Sect were to withdraw, Mark and his men couldn’t possibly take on all the alchemists of Ethereal Realm.

“President Cantor, your analysis is correct. For now, we’ll just wait and see how things unfold.”

Ernesto gave a nod.

“Observing the situation is only the first step. Next, we need to encourage these individuals to resist Sky Slasher Sect. Only then can Sky Slasher Sect attack them. But now, Medicine God Island is no longer suitable as a battlefield. As long as we incite these people to resist Sky Slasher Sect. It will just be a matter of time before we profit from their conflict,” Mark said with an air of smug satisfaction.

“Exactly, let Sky Slasher Sect clash with these people. We’ll clean up the mess later. Your strategy is truly brilliant,” Ernesto replied in a flattering manner.

At that moment, Garret had already informed both the Zaire and Weaver families about Mark’ conspiracy. When they learned that Mark was colluding with Sky Slasher Sect, many were filled with righteous indignation.

However, no one chose to address it at that time, pretending to be oblivious instead.

“Mr. Candle, we came to Medicinal God Island to hold the Alchemist Fair. Now that Sky Slasher Sect has attacked us, how could we possibly flee? When it comes to Demonic Cultivators like those in Sky Slasher Sect, everyone must take it upon themselves to punish them. We, too, have an undeniable responsibility. We simply cannot allow the inhabitants of Medicine God Island to bear this burden alone. We should all band together and resist Sky Slasher Sect…”

Mark stepped forward, speaking in an inspiring tone.
Woww thank you so much master Gily for the resources. . . . Now we finally understand that focus technique can't be use to absorb someone' cultivation in the Ethereal relm like asral abstraction.

Chapter 4220

“Hahaha, don’t talk big. If you think you’re capable, then give it a shot!”

Upon seeing John’s agreement, Stanton was instantly overjoyed.

“John, have you lost your mind? We…”

Vienna grew frantic, compelled to stop John.

After all, she was the person closest to him given that they had shared a bed.

“Vienna, relax. Don’t tell me you’ve lost faith in your own man?” John said to Vienna with a smile.

The words caused Vienna’s face to instantly flush shyly. She nodded and said, “I trust you…”

“Ms. Morphine, rest assured, if Mr. White is in any danger, we absolutely won’t stand by and do nothing,” Garret added.

Many of them had been saved by John, so if John were to be in danger, they naturally would stay idle.

John leaped up, wielding Dragonslayer Sword. In an instant, he unleashed a radiant arc of light from his sword, firing it toward Stanton.

“Hmph, a mere Sixth Level Tribulator. How audacious of you…”

With a cold huff, Stanton reached out, grasping at the void.

Instantly, streaks of lightning crackled, following which, Stanton managed to seize them in his hand, transforming them into a longsword.

Upon witnessing this scene, everyone was utterly astounded.

After all, the alchemists had never seen anything as extraordinary as this before.

Meanwhile, Carlos chuckled coldly and said, “It’s just showy technique. If our sect leader wants to summon lightning, all it takes is a simple thought.”

John himself possessed lightning nascence. All it took was a mere thought, and lightning nascence would instantly eruption filling the skies with flashing lightning and roaring thunder.

John’s sword light border down upon its target, forcing Stanton into a defensive stance.

Boom!

A sudden burst of golden light filled the sky, and Stanton’s body recoiled instantly. The long sword in his hand, formed of lightning, was shattered in an instant.

Stanton was greatly alarmed. He was at Ultimate Realm Level Two. Even though he was an array master, the power he could unleash might not be as formidable as other cultivators.

However, it made no sense that he was unable to withstand a single blow from a Sixth Level Tribulator.

No matter how impressive John was, the gulf in skill between him and his opponent seemed insurmountable.

“Show me what you’ve got. If you think you can go head-to-head with me, you’re still dreaming,” John sneered.

Stanton knew that John wasn’t just boasting, so he dared act recklessly. He immediately pulled out a golden talisman paper from his chest, which was taller than an average person.

The talisman paper was densely covered in runes, and as it burned, a faint silhouette of a colossal golden figure emerged behind Stanton. The figure wielded a massive sword in its hand.

“With blood as my guide and humans as food, may heaven and earth bear witness as I offer my life…”

Stanton, as if he was in a trance, mumbled to himself. Astonishingly, his entire body began to turn transparent.

He formed a seal with both hands, gradually merging into the body of the hundred-foot giant.

Buzz!

In an instant, the giant shivered, as if coming to life.

Astoundingly, the giant had actually merged with Stanton.

The aura emanating from the giant was indeed that of Stanton.

Everyone was in shock, including Carlos, whose eyebrows furrowed in surprise. He hadn’t expected Stanton to possess this level of magecraft.

Upon seeing the situation, John also slightly furrowed his brows. This was the first time he had encountered such a fusion technique.

“Ha, ha, ha, John, it’s quite an honor for you to meet your end at the hands of the Sky Slasher Sect’s secret technique.”

Stanton was laughing hysterically.

While speaking, Stanton swung his sword at John.

At that moment, John was nothing more than an insect to Stanton.

Faced with the attack, John no longer took things lightly. His body instantly radiated streaks of golden light, as if he was enveloped in an indestructible golden armor. The draconic essence on his chest also started to glow.

A massive golden dragon gradually materialized behind him

Now I finally knew where infinitus celestial sect leader went. So he had gone back to the celestial realm. I remembered he took-off to somewhere after he recovered but the author didn't tell us where.

Thanks immortal Gily. I had a good time reading
